EDM Strength Test

To do:

With the client seated,

The therapist gets them to start with their wrist and pinky flexed.

The therapist should have their hand on the back of the clients hand.

The therapist asks the client to extend their wrist and pinky into therapist’s hand

Positive Sign:

The client is unable to resist the force of gravity or the therapist

EDM Length Test

To do:

The therapist gets the client to flex their wrist and pinky

Positive Sign:

Limited range of motion or stretch felt along the the muscles
