Spine Rotators and Multifidus Test
To do:
The client starts on their hands and knees.
The therapist asks them to extend their contralateral hip and shoulder.
If unable, the client extends a single leg while keeping both hands on the table
If the client is unable to do that, the therapist asks the client to keep both knees on the table and extend one shoulder.
If the client is unable to do that keep, the client keeps both knees on the table and lifts up their hand
Positive sign:
If the client is unable to maintain neutral pelvis during lift, they should attempt a lower level of assessment.
