Rhomboids Major Special Tests

Rhomboids Strength Test

To do:

With the client prone,

The therapist brings the client’s affected shoulder to 90 degrees and internally rotates their arm.

The client then attempts to extend their affected arm and hold.

The therapist stabilizes the unaffected shoulder and the client attempts to extend their affect arm as the therapist resists

Positive sign:

The client can’t hold the arm extension or resist the therapist’s pressure
